I want to open an interior texture of the Ford Windstar to pursue the possibility of making wooden textures, but it only shows a transparent image with little to nothing, does this have to do with the DDS itself or I need an add-on for GIMP? |

I've never used GIMP before, so I don't really know... (It works fine on Paint.NET)
However, you can check if any of the layers has a texture (looks like there's a long list of transparent mipmaps though)
But...
Wait what's the first thumbnail on the top left corner though? Hope that's the original texture...

That was another texture, but the one I want to edit is the dashboard, and GIMP has wooden textures for that.

AAH found out you need to use a plugin to open up DDS images in GIMP! Get the plugin here: code.google.com/archive/p/gimp-dds/downloadsInstructions: 1. Extract the dds.exe file in the downloaded archive to the GIMP plugins folder: (typical directory) C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins 2. Launch GIMP. Go to File->Open. You should see an option to filter out only .dds type of images now. Good luck! |

Hmm... At this moment I don't know what to do...
Check to see if there are any error messages when loading the image. This might help pinpoint the error.
